How haze gets into a car
Through open windows, through vents that bring in outside air, and through a cabin filter that may be old or not designed for fine particles. All three are things you can change before buying anything.
Step one is free: recirculation
During haze, close the windows and set the air-con to recirculate so it stops pulling in outside air. On a long drive, switch to fresh air briefly when the numbers are lower, so the air in the cabin does not get stale.
Step two: check the cabin filter
If your cabin filter is overdue, replace it. Some cars can take a filter with better particle performance, so check your car's manual or ask your workshop.
Step three: a small purifier
